Mitos Galeano is an artist, passionate about sketching, painting and creating collages. Mitos’s subjects include his love of fantasy as well as landscapes and people, including an unusual use of detail, particularly with his incredible backline sketches and abstract collages. 

He is currently focusing on painting self-portraits during his Senior year at SUNY Purchase.

Mitos enjoys sharing his work. In May of 2026, two of his paintings were selected for the Best of SUNY exhibition in Albany, New York. Mitos enjoys an international sense of art, as a child of immigrants from Ecuador and Colombia and has been able to travel to experience art through different cultures. He is living in his hometown of Somers, New York. He takes sketching classes at the Art Students League in New York City.
